Southern California Earthquake - Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

We just experienced an earthquake in Santa Ana, CA. It knocked my thermos off the counter. Details to follow.  March 28th…Ok, no real updates.  The news is that it was about a 3 somewhere in Irvine.  Damn it!  I wanted wall-to-wall news coverage for the next 10 days.  I wanted to see news anchors roll in without any makeup on with their hair all unsnarled in curlers and what not.  I wanted to see the same video shot of a collapsed retaining wall every day for the next month but I don’t get to.  I feel like I was robbed by this earthquake.  Eff you, San Andreas fault…EFF Y-O-U!!!

Ok, bye.

dude i felt that in Costa Mesa, california. all of your windows were shaking and stuff. you know how big it was?

bro!!! i totally felt that earthquake in the newps, aka the penisula!!! being from wisconsin, this was my first one! shaka! so freakin’ gnarly!!! i thought i was hit by a bus…are we gonna die? is this like y2k? what happens next?

we felt it in tustin. does anyone know where it’s centered? how big?

I was right at the epicenter, a couple miles north of Newport Beach, in Costa Mesa, right along the 55 freeway. All i felt was the bang of the quake itself, but none of the shockwaves since I was in the center of it.

I just wanted to say that I am From Croatia and we also have earthquake very often, but very small….But still…It is very unpleasant experience…
